THE FIRST NEW GENERATION VENDING MACHINE IN BULGARIA FOR CARBONATED AND FILTERED WATER IS INSTALLED IN GABROVO

The machine provides double filtration of the input water – through a UV lamp linear disinfection system and an Ice Bank technology cooling system. The machine delivers 4 types of water – chilled, cold, slightly carbonated and very carbonated. The containers that can be filled are a recyclable cup that is fed from the machine, your own cup or bottle and a thermos that can be purchased on site.

The idea of the company that installed the facility is to reduce plastic consumption as much as possible by encouraging the use of one’s own bottle or the purchase of a thermos.

The vending machine has a solar photovoltaic panel that allows the machine to function during daylight hours. At other times it switches automatically to the mains.

The maximum amount of water that can be filled at one time is up to 1 litre. Payment is made in coins or via the company’s Si.Spot Pay app , which can be downloaded for free via the AppStore or Google Play on your phone.

It will be available to Gabrovo residents in the warmer months, except during the winter period when temperatures are freezing.

A recycling machine for cans and plastic bottles is located next to the water dispenser. The provider of the facility, Si Vending Spot, and the City of Gabrovo believe that only the intended waste will end up there and this is a small but important step towards reducing plastic in our daily lives.
