What will the RAW manual be about? We already know!

The RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT EFFECTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT Consortium carried out focus studies (in the form of surveys), thanks to which decisions were made on the key topics and titles of individual chapters. The research referred to the chapters of the manual “RAISING THE AWARENESS OF EFFECTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT”, which is the number one result in this project.
213 respondents from 6 countries (Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria) took part in the survey. The respondents had to answer 33 questions (open and closed), thanks to which they could express their opinion on the circular economy, ecology, and recycling habits in their workplaces.
The survey showed that the awareness of recycling and the circular economy is satisfactory among the respondents. Privately, the respondents are interested in this topic and are sensitive to climate change. They appreciate the pro-ecological attitude. However, the study also showed that companies in the SME sector, which lack green tools, systems and practices, are a completely different practice. This proves that the RAW project can contribute to changing this state of affairs by providing entrepreneurs and their employees with the necessary tools to change such attitudes, and thus help entrepreneurs save and smarter manage company resources.
The Consortium is currently working on the implementation of the handbook, which will contain the following chapters:

1. Recycling from consumption
2. Recycling from manufacturing. Refurbishing/remanufacture (up-cycling)
3. Managerial practices for circular economy business models
4. Reuse/ redistribution
5. Usage optimization/maintenance
6. Sustainable design
7. Use waste as a resource .
